your Own Leather Cuffs

Instructor:
Tim Start owner of High Desert Leather, Tim has been in the leather business since 1970 working with soft and hard leathers.
He has won the Best of State award for leather working. The class will be suitable for the beginner level as well as
those with higher skill levels.
Objectives: The student will be taught how to choose the
correct leather for their project. You will learn how to make patterns for your project, layout and cutting, stitching, decorating
to dye and finishing.
You will learn how to use basic tools from cutting to beveling and simple stamping. The first
set of classes will teach you how to make your own leather cuffs. The skills learned in this class will be
used for our next class of how to build your own holsters.
Safety: Cutting tools
as well as chemicals will be used in the class. A paying adult must accompany students under the age of 14.
Supplies:
Each student will purchase their own supplies. Which include the following. All items can be purchased at the
Leather Factory.
Two square feet of 7oz veg tanned leather $15.00

If you wish to dye your project a 4oz bottle of fiebings dye.
Cost:
$30.00 for both days of the cuff class, per person cash or checks only payable to Tim Start prior to beginning of class.
